On April 3 of 2021, within the scope of memorandum of understanding signed between the State Service for Veterans Affairs and the Academician G. Chapidze Emergency Cardiology Center,free cardiac examinations (consultation with a cardiologist, electrocardiogram, cardiac ultrasound,laboratory studies) were conducted by the doctors of the Academician G. Chapidze Emergency Cardiology Center for veterans of the War and Defense Forces and their families.
As a part of the campaign, 45 beneficiaries received qualified medical services; approximately 180 medical visits were paid.
Jandri Ubiria, Deputy Director of the State Service for Veterans Affairs, Vazha Dalakishvili, an employee of the Social Affairs and Accounting-Analytical Department, got acquainted with the campaign on the spot.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the State Service for Veterans Affairs and Academician G. Chapidze Emergency Cardiology Center was signed in April 2017 and will be updated annually. On the sideline of the memorandum, charitable medical campaigns for veterans and their families were permanently held throughout Georgia. Since the signature of the memorandum, the doctors of the Academician G. Chapidze Emergency Cardiology Center have carried out 108 charitable medical campaigns with thesupport of the State Service for Veterans Affairs; Free medical services were provided to 10,263 beneficiaries.
Free medical services for veterans and their families will be delivered throughout Georgia, regarding which the information shall be provided to veterans in advance.
