On April, 2021, the Director of the State Department of Veterans Affairs Office, Major General Koba Kobaladze met with Malkhaz Toria, the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti in Zugdidi as part of his planned visit to the regions. At the meeting, the parties considered all social, economic and health issues concerning veterans of the war and defense forces living in the region. The importance of integration of veterans into the society and the proper planning and use of their potential has been emphasized. The parties stated that all these challenges will be overcome more effectively through the joint efforts of the Department, the local municipality and the community.

Malkhaz Toria promised Koba Kobaladze his support and assistance in overcoming the challenges faced by veterans of the war and defense forces living in the region. A specific action plan was outlined in several areas:

"Today we orginized a planned departure; we started from Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti to get acquainted with the social and economic problems faced by veterans. At the same time, we set goals and expressed perspectives to integrate veterans into the society, in all areas where possible, to properly plan and use their potential. I would like to express my special gratitude to the State Representative in this region, since we have successfully and elaborately paid our visit and planned the further activities in this direction," Koba Kobaladze stated after the meeting.

The meeting was also attended by Vladimer Imnadze, Advisor to the Director of the State Department of Veterans Affairs Office and representatives of different departments of the Office.
