The medical charity campaign was carried out for veterans living in the city of Poti. Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding, the doctors of the Medical Centre “VivaMed” (cardiologists, therapists, neurologists, endocrinologists, surgeons, gynecologists, ophthalmologists, gastroenterologists, otorhinolaryngologists) delivered a wide range of free medical services (including ultrasound, cardiogram) for the veterans of war and defense forces and their family members living in the municipality of Poti. The campaign was organized by the State Department of Veterans Affairs Office. Overall, 130 beneficiaries were delivered qualified medical services within the campaign, and up to 470 medical visits were paid. The campaign was visited by the Director of State Department of Veterans Affairs Office, Major General Koba Kobaladze, Advisor to the Director, Vladimer Imnadze, Deputy Director, Jandri Ubiria, Poti Municipality Mayor, Gocha Kurdghelia and his Deputy Mamuka Papaskiri.
“This is the primary medical examination in order to prevent further danger. At the same time, we have taken an opportunity to meet the veterans alongside with the city administration, the city hall mayor, and his deputies as per our plan to discuss the social challenges that the city administration can solve in cooperation with us, the government, to improve the social and economic conditions of the veterans in a more effective way. I would like to take the opportunity and express my gratitude to the administration and management of Poti Municipality”, Koba Kobaladze said.

For this special reason, I would like to thank once again the management of the State Department of Veterans Affairs Office, Mr. Koba Kobaladze, his whole team and I wish this campaign will be as successful in our city as it is today”, the Mayor of Poti Municipality, Gocha Kurdghelia stated.
A memorandum of understanding between the State Department of Veterans Affairs Office and “Vivamed” Medical Center was signed on February 26, 2021. The memorandum is aimed at improving the health of veterans of war and defense forces. Free medical campaigns will continue for veterans and their families throughout Georgia, regarding which the information will be provided to veterans in advance.
