How will the first treetop trails look like in Georgia?

The first treetop trails will be arranged in Lagodekhi Protected Areas of Georgia. The Agency of Protected Areas of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture reports that the trail design works are already completed.


The paths of the treetops include towers, air trail, bridges, interactive educational and interpretive portals. Such trails are arranged only in the world's leading national parks. The trail is expected to host 60,000-100,000 people within a year. According to the project, the trail will be circular and its length will be 500 meters.


According to the Agency, the project on construction of the treetop trails was prepared by the German-Dutch Company CITYFORESTER. The Company works in the leading European countries in the direction of architecture/urbanism. In addition to CITYFORESTER, two foreign companies - OPENFABRIC and IMAGINE STRUCTURE and one Georgian organization CENN - were involved in the preparation of the trail design works:
