Former Presidential Residence in Mestia Sold for 7 510 000 GEL on e-auction

In the scope of the campaign  ‘The 100 Investment Offers for Business’, the former presidential residence in Mestia region has been sold on e-auction earlier today.

 

The starting price of the facility was 1,840,000 GEL, however, as a result of the trade, the former residence was sold for 7 510 000 GEL.


Presidential residence in Mestia was built in 2011.


On November 29, the Ministry of Economy and the National Agency of State Property presented the list of 100 state-owned buildings the government offers local and international businesses for privatization.


Among other important objects, Mestia Residence was also included in the government's privatization list. 


The 100 investment offers also include the objects in the following places: in Sighnaghi - estimated value 281 763 GEL (13,000 sq m); in Bakhmaro - Estimated value 2 537 400 GEL (12 588 sq.m.), in Tbilisi, Gotua Street 14 - Estimated value 6 595 721 GEL (6 796 sq.m.).


It is worth mentioning that the Presidential residence in Mestia has been unused for several years.


Online edition TSpress.ge reports that there are 7 bedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms in the wooden building, as well as a kitchen, a conference room and about 150 sq. m. living room. The President's restrooms are distinguished by their size and different design. Opposite the building, there are two auxiliary facilities with security and technical staff.
