Revenues generated in Georgian state budget by gambling business reduce

The taxes paid by the gambling businesses to the state budget within 10 months amounted to GEL 97,492 million, which is 8% less than the amount of taxes last year. In January-October 2018, the gambling business paid a fee of GEL 105,985 million to the country's main treasury.


This is stated in the 7-month report on the consolidated budget receipts (without consolidation).


As of January-October 2019, the state budget received GEL 5 448 292 from the promotional lottery, GEL 9 305 438 from the system-electronic games, GEL 52 461 133 from gambling machines, GEL 913 209 from the club table and GEL 29 042 851 from the casino table.


To be informed, the gaming business turnover increased by 128% in 2018. Specifically, if the sector's turnover in 2017 was GEL 6.05 billion, in 2018 this figure increased to GEL 13,806 billion.
