Interior Minister meets Migration Department Director
Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs Geka Geladze, accompanied by Deputy Minister Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, held a working meeting with the Director of the Migration Department.
The Minister inquired about migration-related challenges and highlighted the department’s efficient work.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the meeting centred on identifying foreign nationals residing in Georgia without lawful grounds and addressing the high rate of their expulsion from the country. The Minister also inspected the department’s infrastructure and the new building currently under construction.
“Construction of the new Migration Department building is progressing in line with modern standards and will be fitted with the latest equipment and technology. This new facility represents a significant step towards enhancing the department’s efficiency,” the Ministry said.
