Competition named after the hero of August War was held in mini football

On November 10, 2022, the competition named after Alexi Natroshvili, a soldier who died in the War between Russia and Georgia in 2008 was held in mini football in the village of Vachnadziani, Gurjaani Municipality under the organization of Gurjaani Municipality Council and with the support of the State Service of Veteran Affairs. 6 teams of Gurjaani municipality 6, 1 of Telavi and the 4th infantry brigade of the Ministry of Defense took part in the competition.

 

The final match was held between the teams of the village of Kalauri and the fourth brigade and ended with the victory of the latter.


Tamaz Kalatozishvili, head of Kakheti Division of the Regional Management Department of the Service, handed the cups to the tournament participants and the winning team together with medals and certificates established by the State Service of Veteran Affairs. Gela Dalakishvili, director of the Gurjaani Municipality Sports Association handed the transitional cup to this year's champion.


Alexi Natroshvili was from the village of Vachnadziani. He served as a centurion in the fourth brigade of the Ministry of Defense. On November 10, he would have turned 44 years old. Alexi Natroshvili (posthumously) was awarded the 1st degree Order of Vakhtang Gorgasli.


The competition named after Alexi Natroshvili began in 2016 and has benn held every year.
